Welcome to Florida
Central Tech BASKETball
The goal of the basketball program is to master the technical, physical, nutritional, and mental portions of the sport necessary to reach each player’s highest potential and maximize college options moving forward while preserving their full four years of college eligibility.
Florida Central Tech recognizes that player development cannot only consist of individual, team training and practice. Our players need to take the skills they master and apply them to live-game situations. Unlike what players are accustomed to in high school, players will have the advantage to participate in a competitive game schedule in both the spring, summer, and fall semesters instead of just one short season.
The program’s daily regimen includes strength conditioning, speed training, flexibility training, mental efficiency training, and nutritional performance programs. Our professional coaching staff has perfected training regimens to maximize each player while giving positive body stress recovery. Through this customized training regimen our coaches prevent player boredom and burnout, and highly reduces the chance of injury. Currently, we have partnered with neighboring facility where all practices and games are held.
All players will develop differently regardless of the player’s ability. Therefore, we customize all our training regimens to accommodate every player’s needs. We evaluate and assess each player to the core to find the strengths and more importantly the weaknesses. Both the mental and physical aspects of the sport play key roles in every player’s daily regimen. Student-athletes will learn throughout the program another main ingredient to every player’s success is daily nutritional intake and requirements to maintain positive athletic development and recovery. Our Staff comes with years of experience in coaching, training, scouting, and the knowledge to get our players to the next level. Athletes will be scouted consistently throughout their stay during each semester.
Our coaching staff works with players in each position of the game including point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center. Coach’s cover all aspects of the game on the court and in the classroom.
